Coronavirus precautions cancel LTNC hikes, workdays and orientations through end of 2020
June 26, 2020 – UPDATE
After careful consideration of the safety of our volunteer hike leaders, staff and the public and in consideration of the social distancing regulations, we have cancelled all our hikes, workdays and preserve orientations for the remainder of 2020.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at future events. In the meantime, visit our Public Parks & Trails page. We hope you get outside and safely enjoy nature as often as you can, in areas where a 6 ft or more social distance can be maintained.
We miss seeing you out on the trails and can’t wait to see you again just as soon as it is safely possible.

In these troubling times, know that we are taking all recommended precautions to keep our staff and community safe from COVID-19 while continuing our work, which is now more important than ever.
Our staff is working from home and accessible via email and we have cancelled all our hikes, workdays and preserve orientations until further notice. Please pay close attention to local guidance before heading outside as mandates may change.
We have a shared responsibility to #flattenthecurve of COVID-19. Maintain a social distance of 6 ft or more and stay home if you are sick. Help us keep our public spaces open and available through responsible use during the mandated shelter in place order and we look forward to seeing you all again for a hike just as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at future events. In the meantime, feel free to visit our Public Parks & Trails page for places to visit that don’t require reservations in advance.
