Permanent Preserve Network

These properties were acquired through donation or purchase by the Land Trust to be managed in perpetuity for their ecological health.

Our permanent preserves are lands we own and care for in perpetuity, safeguarding them for their ecological, scenic, and cultural value. These preserves are living landscapes that protect vital resources—wildlife habitat, water quality, biodiversity, and climate resilience—while ensuring that Napa County’s natural beauty and character endure for generations to come.

We protect these lands to address critical conservation needs: preserving rare and threatened species, restoring native ecosystems, and enhancing resilience to climate change and wildfires. Through careful stewardship, our preserves remain sanctuaries for wildlife, clean water, and the plants and animals that call Napa County home.

By connecting protected lands across the region, our preserves also form part of a larger network of conservation areas—wildlife corridors, watersheds, forests, and open spaces—that sustain both nature and our community.

Explore how we care for these special places and why they’re essential to the health and future of Napa County.
