Biodiversity & Land Stewardship Hike on Dunn-Wildlake Presereve

About
the hike

Join LTNC Stewardship Director Mike Palladini for a hike on the Dunn Wildlake Preserve highlighting Napa County’s outstanding biological diversity, and the Land Trust’s conservation efforts. This hike will focus on the stunning array of native plant and animal species protected within LTNC’s preserve network, and our ongoing work to maintain and restore these important ecological values. The hike will also feature some great ridgetop views of the surrounding landscape. Mike will identify birds by sight and sound along the way; binoculars and an interest in birds are encouraged!

Mike has been the lead for LTNC’s land stewardship program for the last 14 years. He oversees management of the Land Trust’s 22,000-acre preserve system, including projects related to habitat and watershed restoration, biological resources assessment and monitoring, applied conservation science research, wildfire and climate resilience, and public access and education. A wildlife biologist by education and training, Mike spent several years working on avian research and conservation projects before joining the Land Trust.
