About
the hike
This outing will highlight native plant and bird diversity, and the Land Trust’s work toward reducing future fire severity through active forest stewardship. This hike will cover the entire length of the Mill Trail, including a scenic new addition. We will stop regularly to enjoy native plants from the forest floor to the highest tree tops, keep our eyes and ears open for native bird species, and chat about our large-scale efforts to reduce fuel loads and increase wildfire resilience in these forests through active land management.
Hiking will be on a single- track trail, including steep, uneven, and rocky sections.
