96,000 acres protected — and counting.

The Land Trust protects the natural and agricultural landscapes that define our region. Through partnerships with landowners, public agencies, and our community, we safeguard wildlife habitat, working farmlands, watersheds, scenic vistas, and rare natural resources — forever.

Every year, more land is protected, more habitat is restored, and more people join us in caring for Napa’s extraordinary natural world. Together, we’re building a resilient, healthy landscape for generations to come.

Conservation & Stewardship in Action

See how we care for the lands we protect — through habitat restoration, wildfire resilience work, wildlife corridor enhancements, and ongoing stewardship across Napa County.

Why This Work Matters

Protecting land safeguards everything that depends on it — wildlife, clean water, working farms, climate resilience, and the beauty and character of Napa County.
By safeguarding these lands forever, we ensure that future generations can thrive, explore, and experience the natural heritage that makes Napa extraordinary.

People & Community Impact

Protecting land means protecting community — and welcoming people onto the landscapes they help save.

Each year, hundreds of residents, volunteers, students, and visitors join us on the land to explore, learn, and care for Napa’s extraordinary natural places. Through guided hikes, school field trips, orientations, and hands-on stewardship, people of all ages connect deeply with the beauty, history, and ecology of the county they call home.

In 2025 alone, more than 770 people participated in our programs — restoring habitats, improving trails, discovering wildlife, and gaining lasting access to our protected preserves. These shared experiences build a stronger, more connected community and inspire the next generation of conservation leaders.

When people experience the land, they become its stewards.
