Current Closures

Dunn-Wildlake Preserve, Duff Ranch, and all hikes within the preserves are closed to visitors due to fire weather. The closure will be in effect from August 21, 2025 to December 31, 2025. Please check back before visiting to confirm the property has been reopened.

The Pickett Fire has necessitated the closure of Dunn-Wildlake and Duff Preserves to visitor access until further notice.

As reported by CAL FIRE and shown in the published fire perimeter map, the fire began on a property along the 2300 block of Pickett Road, about a half mile away from the nearest Land Trust preserve. The fire then spread onto our Duff Preserve and then the Dunn-Wildlake and Aetna Preserves.

We recently enhanced emergency road access through these preserves, and crews used these roads within the fire perimeter to help contain the fire.

We are deeply grateful to the firefighters and first responders for working tirelessly to protect our community, landscapes, and neighbors.
