June 29: Newell Preserve Raptor Migration

Rating: Moderate, 4 miles, 525 feet elevation gain

Join local bird expert Robin Leong to tour the picturesque hills just east of the City of American Canyon. We will be looking for grosbeaks, towhees, wrens, hawks, and sparrows, among others. The Newell family donated the Newell Reserve, protected in perpetuity by the Land Trust of Napa County, in cooperation with the City of American Canyon.

Bring: water, lunch, sturdy hiking shoes—and please don’t forget those binoculars!

Field Trip registration closes three (3) days prior to the event date.

Please note that minors will need to be accompanied by an adult, and will need to provide a signed minor waiver to participate.
