The Land Trust of Napa County is pleased to announce that Chris Miller has joined its Board of Trustees. Chris, an artist and advocate for land conservation, brings a lifelong dedication to environmental stewardship and a deep personal connection to Napa County.

Born in Carmel, California, and raised in Southern California, Chris Miller’s formative years were spent exploring the remnants of agricultural land and the nearby Santa Monica Mountains, which fostered a lifelong connection to the environment. His path led him through the film and bicycle industries, and he is now making art in his Napa studio.

Miller and his wife, Catherine McNamee, settled in Napa Valley’s Soda Canyon in 2012, after raising their daughters in Telluride, Colorado.

A strong advocate for land conservation, Chris’s deep appreciation for nature is also in his family’s legacy. Chris’ family worked with the Land Trust to place a conservation easement on their Silverado Vineyards property, protecting this 214-acre property in perpetuity. His parents, Ron and Diane, founders of Silverado Vineyards, were also champions of the arts in Napa County, a legacy Chris proudly continues.

“It’s an honor to join the Land Trust’s Board of Trustees and contribute to preserving the natural beauty and incredible resources of Napa County,” said Chris. “I look forward to supporting this important mission and continuing my family’s commitment to conservation.”
