Reaccredited: Reaffirming Our Commitment to Napa’s Lands

We’re proud to share that the Land Trust of Napa County has once again earned national accreditation from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance.

This distinction isn’t just an honor, it’s a powerful affirmation of our commitment to doing this work with excellence, accountability, and care. Accreditation is the gold standard for land conservation, and it reflects our ongoing promise to protect Napa’s open spaces, wildlands, and agricultural landscapes forever.

Why Accreditation Matters

Accreditation means that Land Trust of Napa County meets rigorous national standards for conservation excellence, legal integrity, and sound financial management. It means we’re operating transparently, ethically, and with the systems in place to uphold our mission in perpetuity.

Reaccreditation isn’t automatic; it’s earned through a thorough review of our practices and policies every five years. From how we steward protected lands to how we manage resources and engage with our community; every aspect of our work is evaluated. And once again, we’ve met these high standards.

A Mark of Trust and a Long-Term Vision

For our members, donors, landowners, and partners, accreditation offers more than reassurance; it represents a long-term investment in land conservation you can count on.

It ensures that:

  • Conservation agreements are legally sound and built to endure;
  • Our financial practices are transparent and responsible;
  • The land we protect today will be cared for in perpetuity.

We are honored to carry this seal of approval from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, and we are proud to stand among a nationally recognized group of conservation leaders.

Our Work Continues

At the Land Trust, we’re driven by a simple but powerful mission: Preserving the character of Napa County by permanently protecting land and the natural resources that make Napa extraordinary.

This reaccreditation fuels our momentum and deepens our resolve. From wildlife corridors and watershed protection to native habitat restoration and climate resilience, we remain focused on the long-term impact of our work. And we know we can’t do it without you.

Thank You for Trusting Us

Accreditation is a reflection of our organization’s strength, but it’s also a testament to the strength of our community. Your support helps us ensure that the lands we all love—Napa’s hillsides, wildlife, streams, and forests—remain protected for generations to come.

We are grateful to walk this path with you, and we look forward to what we’ll continue to accomplish together.
