July 20: Wildlake Sunset Hike

Rating: Moderate, 5 miles, 1-2k ft elevation gain

Join us on the Dunn-Wildlake Preserve as we hike out to Old Baldy Peak for a picnic dinner and watch the sunset as the moon rises over the Napa Valley. The views will be amazing, making this a great photo opportunity: tripods can help take pictures in low light. We’ll hike back at night under a full moon, which adds an extra challenge as the trail is rough in spots, so wear hiking boots with adequate tread and ankle support and consider a walking stick.

Bring water, a picnic dinner, and warm layers, as we’ll be out well into the evening.

Required: a flashlight or headlamp.

Field Trip registration closes three (3) days prior to the event date.

Please note that minors will need to be accompanied by an adult, and will need to provide a signed minor waiver to participate.
