2024 Fall Annual Appeal

As fall brings a fresh reminder of our shared connection to this land, we are especially thankful to you for making a lasting difference in Napa. Thanks to you, the Land Trust is preserving the rural character of Napa by permanently protecting land. And with your help, we hope to complete even more conservation by year-end!

We’re asking you to make a special year-end gift to our Annual Fund to keep up the momentum.

Your support has already helped us accomplish so much this year, including:

Mead Ranch:

Thanks to your generosity, we acquired over 1,300 acres on Atlas Peak, home to rare plant species and critical habitat right along a priority wildlife corridor. This acquisition extends the protection of natural values near our 1,380-acre Sutro Preserve, which includes Atlas Peak itself, and last year’s acquisition of the 2,300-acre Walt Ranch.

Angwin Forest Land Protection:

In partnership with Pacific Union College, we’ve protected another 246 acres of forest in Angwin, securing the headwaters of Moore Creek, which feeds Lake Hennessey, Napa’s primary water source. Altogether, we’ve now protected over 1,100 acres of forested land with PUC, safeguarding clean water and natural habitats.

Stewardship Across LTNC Properties:

Across our preserves, we continue to prioritize wildfire resilience and biodiversity. This year, we completed multiple forest-thinning projects to reduce fuel loads, restore tree diversity and improve forest resiliency. We’re also making progress on our Western Monarch Habitat Improvement Project, restoring critical habitats by removing invasive species and replanting Heartleaf milkweed.

Celebrating 48 Years! 94,000 acres protected!

We’re currently working on several more land protection projects, hoping to complete them by year-end. But we can’t do it without you.

Your donation makes a difference that is local, tangible, and enduring—ensuring that Napa’s natural beauty will be protected for generations to come. Please make a gift today  and help us safeguard these landscapes in perpetuity. Together, we’re making a lasting impact.

Your gift makes our work possible, please give today!
