The Land and the People

The Land Trust is nonprofit organization with over 1,500 members—people just like you who are committed to:

  • Natural space
  • Wildlife habitats
  • Agricultural preservation

Our work is made possible by membership dues and contributions. We pursue our conservation goals without operating support from any government agency.

Our success is the work of our staff, board of trustees and advisory council, along with our volunteers and members. The Land Trust was founded in 1976; click here for a brief history by one of our founders.

We are the only organization, either public or private, actively working to preserve open space and agricultural land in Napa County.

Advisory Council

In 2002, the Board inaugurated an Advisory Council to assist in promoting The Land Trust's community outreach goals.

The Advisory Council is a group of highly respected members of The Land Trust of Napa County who support The Land Trust's goals —saving this precious heritage for generations to come —by assisting The Land Trust with their ideas and with financial contributions. Members of the Advisory Council will play an important role by lending their name and reputation to our publications, contributing a minimum of $2,500 each year and providing introductions from time to time.

We are thrilled that these individuals have taken this leadership position to work with The Land Trust. Together we can do what one person cannot do alone.
