Located on the west side of Napa Valley, the Archer Taylor Preserve consists of 380 acres including a century-old redwood forest in the Redwood Creek.
This Preserve has 730 acres of oak savannah, oak woodlands and migratory bird habitat located in Pope Valley. The property was conveyed to the Land Trust by Professor Siegfried von Ciriacy-Wantrup in 1982 and has the best example of oak savannah habitat in the Land Trust’s permanently held lands. In areas where cattle were removed, valley and blue oaks are interspersed with native grasses, wildflowers and shrubs.

Join us at the Archer Taylor Preserve’s annual potluck and neighborhood gathering. You can join early trekkers as they scale Maggie’s Peak and Devil’s Well before hitting the redwood grove, or start later and visit the Devil’s Well waterfall just before lunch.
